Start with the board itself: note the blocked squares, count the open tiles, and compare those tiles with the answer lengths shown beside the game. If you need more help, the first written hint identifies the broad relationship shared by the words without naming any answer.
The second hint narrows the search further by suggesting a starting area and a more specific way to group the remaining paths. It is intentionally stronger, so open it only after you have tested a few routes. The final answer and numbered solution path stay closed behind separate controls. That order lets you use Wendtoday as a nudge, a checker, or a full walkthrough without receiving an unwanted spoiler.

Today’s grid is best approached as a coverage problem, not as a hunt for one impressive word. Every open letter belongs to exactly one answer, and the paths cannot share a square. A promising word is therefore useful only if its route leaves a workable set of letters for all the other lengths. The live board checks the path you trace, while the answer panel remains hidden until you explicitly reveal it.
Begin with the most constrained edge or corner. A square with only one practical exit often fixes the direction of a short word and reduces the number of possible turns elsewhere. Then compare the unused letters with the remaining length markers. If a candidate forces an isolated letter, a diagonal jump, or an impossible final group, undo it early instead of trying to rescue the whole board.

How to play Wend
Wend is a daily word-path puzzle. Your job is to divide every open tile into the required number of words while following a few strict movement rules. You can play Wend on the board above with a mouse, a finger, or the keyboard.

Start with any open letter
Choose a letter that could begin one of the displayed word lengths. On this page, press or tap the first tile and continue through neighboring tiles to build a path.

Move in four directions
Each next letter must touch the previous one above, below, left, or right. Diagonal moves and jumps across the board do not count, although a valid word may turn several times.

Keep paths separate
A letter tile can belong to only one completed word. Blocked tiles are never used. When you check a correct path, those squares are marked as solved and the remaining board becomes smaller.

Cover the full board
The puzzle is finished only when every open square belongs to a valid answer of the required length. Use Undo to remove one step, Reset to restart, or Hint to mark a useful next tile.
The length markers are part of the logic. A three-letter route may look obvious, but accepting it too quickly can leave a six-letter shape that cannot be traced. A good solving routine reduces guessing without turning the puzzle into a mechanical solver. Work through these checks in order, and stop as soon as the board starts making sense again.

Corners, narrow corridors, and letters beside blocked tiles have fewer legal neighbors. Mark those constraints mentally before scanning for vocabulary. A path with only one exit often determines where an answer must begin or end.

Treat the displayed lengths as shapes that must tile the board. If the longest answer needs a bend-heavy region, avoid spending its likely letters on an attractive short word. Length is evidence, not decoration.

After tracing a candidate, inspect the unused squares before pressing Check. Ask whether they still form connected routes of the required sizes. A candidate that strands one tile or creates the wrong group sizes is almost certainly false.

Wend answers usually make more sense as a set than as isolated words. Once two candidates suggest a common idea, use that relationship to search the remaining letters. Keep the theme flexible until the board geometry supports it.
