Count down the columns as a separate check: four, three, five, three, four open cells. The third column is open through all five rows. Ten open cells each have at most two open orthogonal neighbors, meaning open cells directly above, below, left, or right. This count describes the board as laid out. Inspect those local connections before choosing any words.

The repeated letters give you another way to recognize this edition: E appears four times, S three times, and O and T twice each. Those repetitions mean a matching letter alone cannot identify a particular cell. Look at the letters beside it as well. Each next letter must touch the previous one above, below, left, or right. Diagonal moves and jumps across the board do not count, although a valid word may turn several times.

Keep paths separate
A letter tile can belong to only one completed word. Blocked tiles are never used. When you check a correct path, those squares are marked as solved and the remaining board becomes smaller.

Cover the full board
The puzzle is finished only when every open square belongs to a valid answer of the required length. Use Undo to remove one step, Reset to restart, or Hint to mark a useful next tile.

The length markers are part of the logic. A three-letter route may look obvious, but accepting it too quickly can leave a six-letter shape that cannot be traced.
